Picture 1 is an American Eagle tanker, possibly Eagle C..... type.
It is propably the "EAGLE CHARLOTTE", see photo below (AAV)

The tanker in photo 1 is the eagle charlotte that is the only AET model ship with that logo on the stack Eagle Corona has
the old logo but has a different type bridge, Eagle Centaurus has different bridge and new logo, same for Eagle Colombus
new logo, so my friend that is your ship looked at all the others in AET fleet and that is the only one that sticks out.

I believe this one is SAGITTARIUS, Grt 17791, Dwt 30005 built 1949 at Bethlehem Shipyard, Sparrows Point for Onassis as the
OLYMPIC FLAME and sold in 1972 to take this name. The markings and hull colour are those of Onassis Group, so I reckon this
picture was taken just after her sale and before the new Owners colours were appended. The name looks correct except that there
is what appears to be another letter, or perhaps number, showing at the end. Note there is fresh white paint in the area of the name.
She is one of four sisters, the others being Olympic Laurel, Thunder and Torch . Thunder was rebuilt after an explosion.
There were two other similar ones, Olympic Star and Sun, built by Sun Shipbuilding . None of these others appears to have taken
a new name and were broken up with their original names. This vessel lasted until 1975, being broken up at Kaohsiung.

I think you are right about this mystery tanker no. 2 ( old no. 7 ).
Looking closely to the name on the photo there is an extension to it.
So the name CONTINENTAL II, makes sense.
Thanks for solving this mystery tanker !!
